I bought my ‘07 RoadKing at Granite Mountain Harley-Davidson. This was my first new bike purchase but not my first experience with a Harley-Davidson dealer.
GMHD changed what was an overall negative view of Harley shops with a genuine care for my satisfaction and friendly, enthusiastic service.
Since then I have made many purchases and upgrades to my RoadKing. I am always impressed with the patience and attitude of the parts and service staff. They NEVER treat me like an idiot like other shops do (as if I should know what they get paid to do) and have earned my complete confidence.
I may buy a T-shirt from another Harley store, but I will only let Granite Mountain handle the important stuff!
Jerry has perfected the motorcycle buying experience. I was in and out with my new ‘08 Police Road King in an hour! Not to mention the best price in the US!!
Granite Mountain and Stone Mountain Harley-Davidson dealerships saved my vacation! On Saturday, the Screaming Eagle clutch on my 2000 FXR4 burnt out before we were scheduled to leave for the Shenandoah Valley that Wednesday. Why it burnt out, and why I’m switching dealerships is another story. The 2000 clutch was out-of-date, so friction plates are very hard to find. There was one set at Harley, and Granite Mountain had just sent a set back. On Monday, Dennis (parts department) spent hours on the phone confirming with the techs at Harley to make sure that the one set of friction plates they had would work in my old clutch. He had them check the engineering drawings to make double sure; no mistakes. Harley packaged up the friction plates and assigned a UPS number for overnight delivery. Stone Mountain then juggled their service department’s schedule around to start work when the UPS truck arrived with the friction plates on Tuesday. By Tuesday 1:00 PM there was no UPS truck. Dennis confirmed that the package was lost at Harley and never made it to the UPS pick-up point. I could see the package on the UPS site, but Harley couldn’t find it! Not giving up, Dennis phoned Granite Mountain Harley-Davidson and asked them if all the Harley return boxes had actually been picked up. When the answer came back no, he persuaded them to open each and every box to check for the chance that the clutch plates might be in the yet to be picked up boxes. They were. He dispatched a runner all the way across town. My bike was finished late Tuesday night. Wednesday morning I picked it up and the vacation started! Our vacation was great!
I bought my Buell Ulysses from Granite Mountain H-D and it was a great experience from start to finish. Darryl Gower called me when the Uly I wanted came into the store, then Scott Craig and Jack Grant took me through the process - they were friendly and totally knowledgeable. I’ve been to other H-D stores in Atlanta, and the experience at Granite Mountain was VERY different; the folks there really care about their customers. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
I am a Soldier stationed in Iraq and I would like to thank Granite Mountain HD and their staff. A friend in Atlanta recommended Scott to me. He was a huge help with my order while stationed in Baghdad. I came home and the very next day I had my bike and was on my way.
Scott always kept me informed by phone or email on Street Glides coming in with respect to my needs. Paperwork and financing was easy and ready when I got there. Everyone at the shop is friendly and helps explain each process.
I have one bike in mind for my fiancée and GMHD is on the top of my list. I will be talking to Scott again soon. Hooah.
